"eyes & ears" Soundinstallations for Koblenz Guitar Festival & Academy 2023
Vernissage 21 May 5 pm at the Rhein-Mosel Halle
Following the success of the sound art works in the October 2021 and Mai 2022 festivals, the Sound Art Composition class of the Mainz University of Music was invited to present works again for this year. All five works were newly developed for the festival and will be presented as a world premiere.
Among other things, there is also a strong reference to place: for example, we hear sounds during the sunset in Koblenz and the bubbling of volcanic gases in the Maar in Maria Laach.

Nach dem Erfolg der Ausstellung von Klangkunstarbeiten im Festival im Oktober 2021 und Mai 2022 wurde die Klasse Klangkunst-Komposition der Hochschule für Musik Mainz auch für dieses Jahr eingeladen, Arbeiten zu präsentieren. Alle der fünf gezeigten Arbeiten wurden für das Festival neu entwickelt und werden erstmalig einem Publikum präsentiert - quasi als Weltpremiere.
Es gibt u.a. auch einen starken Ortsbezug: so hören wir die Klänge des Sonnuntergangs in Koblenz und die Blubbern der Vulkangase im Maar in Maria Laach.
